Bodmin is a town centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Cornish countryside.  The nearby stunning landscape of Bodmin moor make this a fantastic town for a self catering cottage stay.

Within the town centre you can discover some great attractions right on your doorstep, including the Steam Railway, the Town Museum and the Courtroom Experience.  The old railway line from the moors to the sea, 18 miles in total, is a paradise for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists - bikes can be hired locally.

Stepping outside of Bodmin you can discover Pencarrow House with its stunning gardens, as well as the National Trust’s Lanhydrock which also boasts some great parklands. If you’re looking to get out and about then Bodmin has a lot to offer, cycle the Camel trail, experience the windswept tors of the Bodmin moor or visit Helman tor for an amazing view. There is also Bodmin Beacon Nature Reserve which is packed with wildlife, fresh air and amazing landscapes.

Although in a country setting, the coast is only around 15 miles away from Bodmin.  When it comes to days by the seaside Bodmin is quite well located as it is pretty much equidistant between the coast in the north and the coast in the south.  Padstow is only half an hour away for time by the seaside and of course many other attractions are situated nearby.  If you have a car then you may want to spend time exploring the amazing coast and countryside of Cornwall, returning to your self-catering cosy cottage in Bodmin at the end of your day.  Enjoy browsing through the selection of country cottages.
