Pay a
visit to the Offa's Dyke centre in the border town of Knighton,
with interactive displays, 'brass rubbings' and stamping for
children as well as Tourist Information leaflets.
Access
to Offa's Dyke is behind the Centre. There is also some free
parking and a children's playpark and toilets.
A shallow
river beside the walk is great for children to paddle in.

Another
border town is Presteigne where you can stand on the bridge
crossing the river with one foot in England and the other
in Wales. A stone in the centre of the bridge marks the dividing
line.
It's
a charming border town where people have time to stand and
chat. There is an original high street with butchers, bakers,
an excellent fish and chip shop, the popular tourist attraction
of the Judge's Lodging with audio tours to take you back into
the gas lit 1860's.
Close
to Offa's Dyke and again surrounded by spectacular countryside,
a visit to Presteigne is a must.
