Walking holidays in Ireland

walking holidays in Ireland - splendid scenery everywhere
The very thought of it would make most of us pack and head for Ireland for a spot of walking - stunning landscapes all over the Emerald Isle, with lakeland scenes, rugged mountains, the Giant's Causeway, long sandy beaches, and wherever you go there's a friendly Irish pub at the end of the day.
Perhaps the following destinations may just whet your appetite:
The Blackwater Way – 168 km. Walking, hiking and even rock climbing are popular pursuits throughout the Southwest of Ireland. The area offers a spectacular selection of gentle, or more challenging routes, the chance to spot a wide variety of animal and bird species as well as ancient archaeological sites. Whatever your level of fitness you can easily find a suitable path or trail.
