Brackenbury Cottage has belonged to the same family for over 40 years and welcomes guests to stay and experience a real Welsh home. It's a Grade II listed stone-built cottage set in a prime location overlooking the village green and the River Glaslyn. There are lovely mountain and river views from the cottage and walks starting at your own door. The accommodation comprises:
The cottage is very much a home from home - with numerous pictures, books, ornaments to help you feel like a guest in a traditional Welsh home. It is maintained at a high standard for your comfort and enjoyment. The back garden is sheltered and enclosed with the added bonus of a conservatory to relax in. There is parking for two cars at the rear of the cottage. Children of seven or over are welcome. Pets must be kept downstairs only. No smoking inside the cottage please. Beddgelert is a picturesque village set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery largely owned by the National Trust. Because of it's central location, Brackenbury cottage is within easy walking distance of all local amenities including pubs and restaurants, Post Office, village shop, the church and gift shops. Salmon, trout and sea-trout fishing can be arranged on the River Glaslyn - permits are available locally. For those interested in sea fishing, Porthmadog is just 7 miles away where you will also find Black Rock Sands nearby for trips to the seaside. Golf, riding and sailing are all available a short drive away. Portmeirion Village with its Italianate architecture, Ffestiniog Narrow Guage Railway, many historic castles and National Trust properties.
