Many country estates, manors and mansions in Scotland have excellent opportunities for outdoor activities.  Scotland is a reasonably sparsely populated country, meaning that lots of areas in Scotland are just fantastic for country pursuits.  In certain locations there are great opportunities for salmon fishing and more.  Look through the details and get in contact with owners or agencies to find out what activities for large groups can be arranged at the houses that interest you.  It may be possible to go clay pigeon shooting for example or your preference may be to go hiking in the Scottish mountains.

There are many amazing parts of Scotland to visit.  If you are going away as part of a hen or stag group for example then you may wish to find a house where there is some nightlife nearby, probably near a town or city with bars or restaurants.  Whereas, if your self catering break is for a large family reunion or corporate break, you may want to rent a large house in a remote location where you can get away from it all.  Do let owners or agencies know when getting in touch about the type of break you are looking for.  Some welcome bookings for party weekends for example whereas others will not permit hen or stag parties.
