Self catering large country houses in England

Large country houses, mansions and manor houses are associated with England, living it up and country style. England is famous for its large grand houses tucked away in the countryside or on the edge of villages or towns. Nowadays many of these fabulous properties offer self catering accommodation and can be rented for special weekends, short breaks or week long bookings. Large stunning properties can be rented for wedding receptions and many different kinds of special events. Do ask the owners or agencies though what kind of events the house is suitable for. Some for example permit marquees in lawn areas for example and parties whereas others do not.

Accommodation for large groups can also be in the form of town houses and large cottages. Occasionally castles are also available to rent, perfect if you want to feel like royalty.
