A holiday in Kent can be extremely diverse because of easy access to so many places via the motorway network, even Calais or Boulogne in France for the day. Rochester is fabulous to visit in early December for the Dickens Christmas Market.  Summer visitors can still find out about Dickens and his links with the cathedral city of Rochester.
