Appleby-in-Westmorland is a charming old market town in Cumbria, situated in the beautiful Eden Valley and is an ideal place for a self-catering holiday. This popular town is celebrated as a peaceful oasis in the modern world. Families staying here have first class amenities and proximity to the finest countryside the Lake District has to offer. One of the most famous events in the area is the annual Appleby Horse Fair, frequented by gypsies and travellers from all over the country.
