Poldue Farm is set at the top of a secluded valley one field away from Bodmin Moor where ponies roam and graze freely. It's a semi-detached farmhouse with a large garden with evidence of Cornish pixies. There are 2 bedrooms, each sleeping 2 people, plus an optional sofabed in the hall. 

The farmhouse is just 20 minutes away from the Eden Project and is a good base for exploring Cornwall.  There are views of both coasts on a clear day.

Warren Lodges on the edge of Minsmere in Suffolk - secluded location

Would you like to get away the hustle and bustle of life? Warren Lodges on the edge of the Minsmere Marshes in Suffolk will be a novel experience and real treat for you.  The track to the lodges takes you away from the tarmac roads into the countryside looking out over the woodlands of the RSPB Minsmere bird reserve. The lodges themselves are surrounded by grass so you step out onto grass and get away from all that concrete and cars which are kept 25-50 yards from the lodges. These timber lodges are well equipped to ensure a comfortable stay at any time of year.  

Marsh harriers, barn owls kestrels and sparrow hawks hunt regularly over the surrounding land, skylarks and nightingales can be heard in the season, and many rare and interesting birds can be seen at the nearby RSPB Minsmere reserve. Rabbits share the hollow, and deer can sometimes be seen at dawn and dusk. Warren Cottage in a secluded location in Herefordshire

Warren Cottage is a cosy and secluded  two-bedroom woodman’s cottage in the South Herefordshire countryside, adjacent to the ancient Aconbury Woods. It offers easy access to the Black Mountains, Hay-on-Wye, the river Wye, great country walks a range of pubs. There is a well-stocked shop in the neighbouring village.

Warren Cottage has two bedrooms. The ground floor is predominantly open-plan with a low beamed ceiling. The recently installed kitchen is well equipped with a new cooker and fridge, a microwave and plenty of utensils. There is a dining area, a cosy corner with two comfy sofas and a Clearview wood-burner (the cottage’s main source of heat), a separate bathroom (with heated towel rail) and loo. 

Upstairs is one double bedroom and a single room both with duvets and linen. Both have small electric radiators. When the cottage was bought it was in a state of disrepair. It has now been lovingly renovated and is available to rent to those who wish to enjoy its peaceful rural setting.

 The cottage's owners live 100 yards away across the orchard in Warren Farmhouse and may provide fresh bantam eggs if they are available.

Secluded country cottage in Devon

Stoodley Barn (sleeps 5) is the major part of an old, granite barn converted about 15 years ago and is full of character and charm. It is 600ft (190 metres) above sea level and the views are magnificent. 

The accommodation comprises a lovely living room with a beamed ceiling and a large limestone fireplace. There is a downstairs WC and kitchen - both with beautiful views of the countryside. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms. The 2 smaller bedrooms have standard single beds, one with an extra pull-out bed. The main bedroom is cosy and comfortable with a normal size double bed, en-suite WC and was basin; there are panoramic views for 20 miles. The family bathroom and WC is also on this upper floor. Visitors have the benefit of the large southerly facing garden, and there is ample parking.
