In addition to running its own social club and bar, the village hall plays host to a fair number of clubs and societies.  With the hall and several function rooms available for hire, all kinds of things go on here.

There are dances, performances by bands, craft shows, plays, private functions, church meetings, meetings of the British Legion, Crib, Caera, Social Club .... the list is almost endless.

The village hall is also used as a polling station for local and general elections.

Champion's Manor Hall in Hullbridge Road which houses the new council offices also has rooms to rent.
