South Woodham Fenn extends
from the roundabout at the juntion of the A132 with the B1418 to
the south, towards Marsh farm. Popular with dog walkers, it provides
paths through the long grass (which is cut once a year).

A variety of
walks lead across the railway line, past the sewage plant, past
a couple of ponds, and all the way up to the River Crouch which
is an important salt marsh area that looks especially beautiful
during the summer.
Brilliant blue
dragonflies, ducks and herons can be spotted during the summer.
Blackberry and sloe bushes grow in the hedgerows.
