| Despite the commonly heard complaint of kids not
having anywhere to go and hanging
about the town centre, there are numerous clubs and organisations that young people can
join in South Woodham Ferrers. If the stage beckons, its easy to get in the spotlight by joining one of the
amateur dramatics organisations like the South Woodham Junior Players, Phoenix Childrens
Musical Theatre Group (Tel: 01245 320068), or the Wannabees.
Musical talent can be encouraged by
membership of the Junior choir or dance schools.
The uniformed organisations still
do an excellent job in the shape of the Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, Brownies and Girls
and Boys Brigade (Evangelical Church),
