Meadow Bank. Two luxurious self-catering holiday cottages situated at the entrance to the Langdale Valley in the unspoilt village of Elterwater in the Lake District. The main house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms and sleeps up to 10 + cot.

 There are 3 colour TVs and video, Sky Sports and Film channels. The large kitchen has an oven, hobs, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, and a drying cabinet. Built of slate and stone, it is an exceptional house, which has been completely renovated and beautifully furnished and has fine views towards the beck and the fells. 

There is also a  separate 3 star Garden Chalet within the grounds.

Fisherground Farm Cottages and Log cabins are on a lovely traditional hill farm, offering accommodation in two stone cottages and three pine lodges, which share an acre of orchard. Ideal for walkers, nature lovers, dogs and children, there is space here, freedom, peace and tranquillity. Good pubs nearby serve excellent bar meals.

Within the village there is a shop that sells most items (food, drink, alcoholic beverages), post-office/outdoor shop, public telephone, and two inns which serve excellent food. A further three inns can be found eastward along Eskdale valley.  The 'L'aal Ratty', a narrow gauge steam railway stops at two stations in the village - "Irton Road", and "The Green" - which is just down the lane past "The Orchards".

Eskmeals House, a charming period gentleman`s residence, situated on the western side of the Lake District in Millom, near Ravenglass. 

Sleeping up to 21 people with 9 bedrooms and situated within 10 acres of its own private grounds, there is surely nowhere better suited for large family gatherings, reunions and celebrations or just complete seclusion from the rigours of modern life.
