St. Dogmaels, a former fishing village, is in the north of Pembrokeshire, on the B4546, across the River Teifi from Cardigan. There's a wide stretch of sandy beach at Poppit Sands. The beach also marks the northern end of the Pembrokeshire Coastal path. There are many beauty spots in the area and the ruins of a 12th century Abbey.
